Potluck Terms of Service

Effective date: 3 June 2026

Welcome to Potluck — a free, social cooking community for home cooks. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Potluck. Plain-language summaries are included, but the full text governs.

1. Who can use Potluck

You must be at least 13 years old. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it current. One account per person. You're responsible for activity under your account — keep your sign-in secure.

2. Your content stays yours

You own the recipes, cooks, photos, notes, and lists you create. You're not handing them over to us.

To run the app, you grant Potluck a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content within the Potluck service — for example, showing your public recipe in another chef's feed, or your cook on your profile. This license exists only to operate and display the service, ends for new uses when you delete the content (subject to normal backup cycling), and never includes selling your content or licensing it to advertisers.

3. Acceptable use — zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse

Potluck has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. When you use Potluck, you agree not to:

Every recipe, cook, and profile can be reported from its ⋯ menu, and you can block any member so you and they no longer see each other's content (Settings → Blocked accounts). We review reports and act on objectionable content and abusive users within 24 hours — removing the content and, where warranted, ejecting the member; content that several members report may be hidden automatically pending review. By using Potluck you agree that there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.

4. Recipes, cooking, and your safety

Recipes and cooks on Potluck are user-generated. We don't test, verify, or endorse them. You are responsible for cooking safely — including allergens, ingredient freshness, food handling, and dietary suitability. Potluck is not liable for the outcome of any recipe you follow. Use your judgment in the kitchen.

5. Free service & "as is"

Potluck is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is accurate.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Potluck and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the app. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. (Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.)

7. Your control & termination

8. Privacy

Your use of Potluck is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, our consent-first model, and our supplier-neutral, no-ads, no-data-sale commitments. Please read it.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you in-app and update the effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you don't accept, delete your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict- of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the courts of Singapore, except where local consumer law gives you rights that can't be waived.
